Smart Glasses Record Questions, Receive Answers to Cheat in the BAC Exams

A guideline meeting of the heads of exams’ centres in Biskra and Batna (eastern Algeria), showed the road map that is prepared by the ministry to combat cheating in the bac exam, that is scheduled for the first week of next June, human resources manager at the Education Minister, Fadel Faisal, said on Tuesday.

“There are several new techniques to cheat, that are traded via the Internet, including the Bluetooth and camera watches. Electronic glasses have automated picturing of the questions and are sent to the cooperating destinations outside the places of examinations, which sends the answers with the same advanced technolog. This kind of glasses should be controlled accurately.”

“The new laws allow the exclusion of each candidate who uses gadgets that can be exploited in the fraud, such as mobile phones, which means the exclusion and the immediate expulsion of the holder into the exam’s room, that are subjected to a five years’ punishment. There are cases in which professors colluded in facilitating cheating of candidates, blaming the heads of the centres to take the appropriate measures in accordance with the new reforms.”

Same official called on the free candidates, and specializations of management, economics and philosophy, which indicators that were recorded in over the past years, show that they are the most vulnerable to fraud based on the documented previews and statistics.

Director of Human Resources shed deterrent penalties to eliminate the phenomenon of cheating after the ministry has provided all the required operations of sensitization for pupils and parents.
