Somayah Al Khashab will continue singing

According to the London daily Elaph, the Egyptian actress Somayah Al Khashab said that she declined to appear on the television entertainment show “Al Beit Beitak” (The Home Is Your Home) over a month ago because she was not feeling well.

• Somayah said that she apologized and asked to reschedule filming for a later time.
• The presenters of the show Khairi Ramadan and Tamer Ameen made several negative comments about Somayah, attacking her abilities as a singer and suggesting that she should instead focus on her acting career.
• Somayah was recently a guest on the radio station “Sawt Al Ghad,” aired in Jordan with the host Mazen Diab.
• Diab asked her about the criticism she has received about her voice and Somayah said that her album garnered third place in Egyptian sales.
• “I can’t satisfy all tastes,” said Somayah, asserting that she will keep singing and that she is better than many artists.
• She receives many offers to sing at private parties and weddings, said Somayah.
• Somayah also said that the rumors journalists spread about her failed marriage were shameful, and that she is not a failure because God determine every person’s fate.
