Sonatrach Begins Delivering Natural Gas To Czech Republic Under A New Contract
Sonatrach announced on Sunday that it began delivering the first quantities of natural gas to the Czech company “Chaz” on October 1, 2024, as part of the gas purchase and sale contract recently signed between the two parties.
According to a statement by Sonatrach, the gas allocated to the Czech Republic is funneled via the pipeline linking Algeria to Italy, which represents the culmination of fruitful negotiations that lasted for two years.
This contract is considered the cornerstone for shoring up cooperation between Sonatrach and “Chaz” with the aim of strengthening their relationship in the long term.
The company added that this contract is a strategic step that allows Sonatrach to acquire a share in the Czech gas market, which also bolsters its role as a reliable and long-term supplier of natural gas in the European market.
