Students to march to the PM office
Contradictory views appeared to the surface among the different students’ organizations and the students’ representatives ahead of the mass march slated for today, Sunday, in the capital city Algiers.

While students have pledged to convince the larger number possible to take part to this march, their elected representatives asked for not raising any political slogan during this event.

Meanwhile the High Schools’ students have decided not to take part to this march and resume their courses, leaving free choice to the other students to participate individually.

Some organizations have warned against partisan exploitations of the students’ pedagogical demands.

The spokesman of the Algiers- 2 university, Abderrezak Adjadj, has yesterday indicated that the students who will take part to today’s march have unanimously agreed upon mainly stressing on their sole interests, in order to bare the route for any suspicious political manoeuvres.

“ We have take part to April 12 March but we’ve been surprised by the shifting in the course of the events as the slogans that were calling for the enhancement of the pedagogical contents have suddenly turned to suspicious political slogans irrelevant to the students’ conditions”, he said.

Representatives from the Independent Students National Coordination are resilient to unite the students and brush aside any political, ethnic or regional elements likely to undermine their movement.
