A communiqué released yesterday by the ministry’s emergency unit has reported that analysis carried out on a boy at Descartes high school, Algiers revealed that he was affected by the H1N1 virus.

Some parents decide not to take their children to school on the evening courses, though experts and ministry’s orders insist on the closing down of the classrooms were the case was registered for a whole week and put the students and their families under medical control.

Services of Pasteur’s laboratory recorded three new cases of swine flu including a teenage girl (15), a woman (31) from Algiers and a 37 old man from the region of Guelma ( eastern Algeria), who came from abroad over the last 72 hours, putting the number of the people affected by the virus in Algeria to 67 cases.

It should be noted that the Algerian health authorities have set up 1500 healthcare units across the country as part of the precautionary measures to detect swine flu cases at schools.
