Swine flu cases rise to 27 in Algeria
The reference laboratory of swine flu in Pasteur Institute in Algiers registers three new cases of H1N1 virus, thus the number of people infected with the virus reaches 27, although the Health Ministry installed 55 thermal cameras in the various ports and airports as well as the border posts.

The laboratory confirmed Sunday that the results of depth analysis of three Algerian youngsters who came from Miami 23, Spain 31 and France 27, last week end are infected with H1N1 virus, following doubts of their infection with the pandemic as soon as they return home, and the onset of symptoms.

The three youngsters were isolated in the health isolation rooms in one of Algiers hospitals, as the total number of swine flu cases reaches 27 out of more than 1000 suspected cases, counting the newly registered cases until Sunday evening; most of them recovered while others are still in the isolation rooms.

The Ministry of Health and Population opened a pandemic investigation, following registration of the new cases, among the families and relatives of the infected people, using medical control and depth laboratory analysis in order to ensure they are free from the virus, as well as among the passengers who accompanied them during the flight on board of the plane, in coordination with the services of border control.

Observers to the health matter, noticed a rapid rise in the cases of swine flu in Algeria, despite the Algerian authorities allocated over 80 billion dinars, 16 million protective masks, over 6.5 million Tami flu packs and 100.000 Saiflu packs that are locally produced, as well as installation of 55 thermal cameras in the various ports and airports and border posts in order to detect all the cases as soon as they arrive from abroad, as the majority of the swine flu cases came from Europe and USA.
