Tebboune: “Loyalty to the immortal November message runs through the veins of Algerians”

President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune  underscored on Monday that the National Mujahid Day is a commemoration of two immortal milestones in the history of the blessed liberation revolution, during which the brave heroes taught a lesson to the colonial army.
In a message on the occasion of the National Mujahid Day, the President of the Republic said: “We celebrate the Mujahid Day, the double anniversary of the attacks in northern Constantine on August 20, 1955 and the convening of the Soummam  Congress on the same day in 1956, which are two immortal milestones in the history of the blessed national liberation revolution.”
The President of the Republic added that the attacks in northern Constantine “taught a lesson to a colonial army that had bet on suppressing the people’s revolution with iron and fire, so those unique heroes made great sacrifices and witnessed heroism, and their courage added momentum to the revolution, which raised the morale of the National Liberation Army.”
The President of the Republic  underlined that “our certainty, as we proudly recall the sacrifices of the martyrs and mujahideen, will remain firm that Algerian women and men, who have in their veins the blood of loyalty to the immortal message of November, carry dear Algeria on their shoulders and watch over its security, stability and prosperity.”
For his part, the Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Laid Rebiga, called on the rising generations to draw inspiration from the lofty values and noble principles of the heroes of the glorious liberation revolution, highlighting the importance of the National Mujahid Day, whose double anniversary Algeria is celebrating today, Tuesday (the attacks of northern Constantine 1955 and the Soummam Conference 1956).
The minister explained in a statement to “APS” on the eve of the commemoration of this anniversary, that this day “constitutes an important historical asset from which the Algerian people draw sources of strength to face various challenges.”
He added that “Algeria, which today lives in the bosom of freedom and independence, is facing an important historical stage that requires the combined efforts of all to meet new challenges,” stressing the need to “adhere to our historical legacy and have a far-sighted vision to serve the homeland, sacrifice for it and contribute to its progress and prosperity.” He considered that the National Mujahid Day “will remain over time a title for the most important decisive turning points in the path of the blessed liberation revolution, which paved the way for independence and the restoration of national sovereignty.”
It  should be noted that the National Committee for Preparing Celebrations for the Celebration of National Days and Holidays has prepared a rich program for this occasion under the slogan “Loyalty, Construction and Continuity”, by organizing various demonstrations and activities across the country’s various provinces.
