Terror plan foiled in Algeria
Algeria’s National Popular Army foiled an attempt to provide terrorist groups with five quintals of explosives last week in the province of Tizi Ouzou, Echorouk has learnt.
- Military operations led to discover a caravan of donkeys loaded with bags of clothing walking alone in the forest. The army’s forces searched the bags and founded large quantities of bombs.
- Terrorists attempted to transfer a wanted bombs workshop in Tizi Ouzou to another place. They were afraid that the army would discover it, according to the same sources.
- The donkeys were used to carry ammunition with no need to accompany them. They have already been used in many suicide attacks as they carried explosives.
- It is a new blow to terrorists in Tizi Ouzou who suffer from a sharp shortage in ammunition.
- The army started a military operation in the area nearby the start point of the donkeys. It is believed that terrorists groups are hiding there.
