Terrorist group blackmails Italian government to set free hostages

The so called criminal organization “ Salafit Group for Preach and Combat” has called on the Italian citizens to pressure Silvio Berlusconi’s government and force it to pay the ransom in exchange for the liberation of the Italian couple abducted by the terrorist organization on December18, in Mauritania.

  •  In the statement signed by the organization’s spokesman known as Salah Abu Mohammed, it was indicated that “the Italian public opinion has to bring pressure to bear on the Italian government to fulfill the organization’s demands”.
  • It should be noted that the terrorists have not yet demanded a ransom from the Italian government to free Sergio Chikalla (65) and his Burkinabe wife Felomini Kabore (39) in return, as they did with the Spanish government when they overtly demanded the payment of $7 millions in exchange of the liberation of the Spanish hostages.
  • The terrorist organization has posted a message, relayed by several websites indicating that “the Italian government has to withdraw its troops from Iraq and Afghanistan”, accusing it of perpetrating crimes against humanity.
