Terrorist leader seeks legitimacy for his activities

The leader of the terrorist organization the “ Salafit Group for call and Combat” , Abdelamalek Droudkel has called ,in a letter sent to Al Qaeda’s preacher and one of the most influential “Djihad” advocates, Cheikh Mohammed Al Moukaddessi to give his point of view about his activities.

• The letter that has been posted on the preacher’s private site reads” We kindly ask from you the permission to start a direct correspondence and explain to us some blurry concepts surrounding our activities.”.

• This is the first time ever that Droudkel requests a viewpoint from such an influential personality concerning his terrorist activities in Algeria, amid a large scale condemnation launched by most of the religious scholars in the Islamic world, of the criminal acts perpetrated by Droudkel on innocent civilians in Algeria.

• Terrorism experts explain this move by the fact that Abdelmalek Droudkel aims to seek legitimacy to his activities amid growing pressure from his organization’s sympathizers who, requested solid arguments to carry on their armed actions including suicide attacks.

• On the other hand, some see in this new strategy to pave the way for an eventual act of repentance from the terrorist organization and give up its terrorist activities.

• It should be noted that Cheikh Al Moukaddessi has warned , in an interview given to the Jordanian  newspaper “Essabil”,  against the killing of innocent civilians under the guise of “Djihad” (Holly war).
