Terrorist organization changes strategy to recruit freshmen

The video posted in the New Year’s Eve by the terrorist organization “ Salafit Group for Preach and Combat” entitled “ Join the caravan” shows the failure of this group to recruit new elements to carry out suicide attacks, contrary to the propaganda spread few months ago through the video “ Al Hour lovers” that glorifies the suicide attackers.

• This is why Droudkel’s organization has changed its strategy to attract new recruits, avoiding making allusion to terrorist acts highlighting rather the terrorists’ trainings in a camp and putting the stress on the new techniques to carry out bloody attacks in towns

• The organization has used preaches of other leaders established abroad who approved the killing of civilians and officials, in order to convince new recruits to join their ranks. The terrorist organization drew a parallel in the video between the Algerian people’s suffering during the colonial period and their own ordeal to justify their acts.

• The video gives a clearer view about the organization’s total despair after losing its sponsors across the world and being discredited by a US report that revealed that 99% of Al Qaeda’s victims were Muslims.

• Algerian security forces have eliminated 280 terrorists over the last year  in the mountainous regions of Tizi Ouzou and Boumerdes including 12 ring leaders, while dozens gave up their terror activities and decided to return to the civil society.
