Terrorists target Gendarmes through land mine snare
A group of terrorists targeted Thursday morning a roving patrol of the National Gendarmerie in the locality of Afir, near Boumerdes, east of Algiers.

The terrorists planted a land mine in an attempt to detonate it upon the return of the gendarmerie roving patrol during its inspection in the area. However, the land mine exploded just before the arrival of the gendarmes who miraculously survived.
- Previously, the Algerian combined security forces killed six terrorists in Oued Boulben between the localities of Bougarra and Hammam Melouane in Blida, west of Algiers.
- Two policemen, belonging to the judicial police were reportedly injured in a terrorist attack that targeted the police station of Ouassif, 40 km south-east of Tizi Ouzou, east of Algiers.
- In a separate incident, a roadside bomb explosion killed two soldiers south-east of Algeria. Two elements of the National Popular Army -ANP- perished in the blast of the explosive device and another was injured in Zemoura, east of Biskra, south-east of Algeria.
