The Algerian security services to strengthen control over African illegal immigrants
The General Directorate of the national security addresses instructions to the border police and the directorate of the public security to tighten control on the African illegal immigrants who moved to Algeria via airports and ports, on the backdrop of recent cases of illegal immigration which were treated by the services of combating drug smuggling.

Previously, the security services of Cheragua, Algiers, seized a large quantity of Heroine and cocaine as well as the crack.

The directorate of the borders police received instructions to raise the state of emergency in the ports and airports as well as in the land and sea borders in response to security reports which reveal that huge quantities of drugs entered to Algeria, security sources said.

The border guards also received instructions to tighten control on the foreigners, particularly in the southern borders which are considered a crossing area of African illegal immigrants.

Security services in connection with the investigation on drug cases said huge quantities of heroine and cocaine and crack were seized recently east and west of Algiers; they were smuggled by African illegal immigrants, who tried to invest in this kind of illegal trade in Algeria, particularly after the security services discovered a laboratory in Hamiz, Algiers, to prepare this kind of drugs.

“We strengthened control over the Algerian ports and airports after we discovered that the African illegal immigrants swallowed capsules of cocaine and heroine that contained sometimes 1 kg,” security officer said.
