The Government Fails to Exploit 90 Thousand Available Jobs, Report
MPs at the lower house of the parliament have evoked the exaggerating failure in the sectors of health, education and higher education in terms of the management of their budget to create new job opportunities.
A report conducted by the Accounting Court on the draft bill on the settlement of the budget of 2009, concluded that several ministries failed to invest their budgets in new projects and in reinforcing their staff.
An MP said there are 54567 vacant posts in the sector of education, 3150 in the sector of health for specialist doctors, in addition to 27000 vacant posts for administrative officers in the same sector, and 14483 vacant jobs in the sector of higher education, although the concerned ministries have the special budget for those vacant jobs.
Yet, some MPS talked about the failure to accomplish the projects launched in the southern part of the country, where 37 percent of the projects have not been started, due to the evasion of entrepreneurs from that area.
However, Minister of Finance, Karim Djoudi, mentioned that the outcomes of the aforementioned report are not alarming, saying that the government will not resort to the Revenue Regulation Fund to cover the budget deficit in 2011.
