The Greens start their preparation under hard rain in Italy

Good ambiance prevailed yesterday during the first training session of the Algerian players in the Italian center “Covertianno”, which is set to last until next Thursday.

  • Eight local players in addition to the professionals Karim Ziani, Rafik Saifi, Amer Bouaaza were present for the first day and answered the call of the head coach Rabah Saadane who asked them to join the team at earliest to prepare the match versus Egypt.

  • As opposed to the previous training camps, the professionals have joined their team mates on due time though some of them have participated with their respective clubs in their local leagues the day before.
  •  
  • The head coach was satisfied to the players’ high spirit that he noticed during this session. The desert warriors ( the Greens nickname) vowed to do their utmost ext Saturday in order to qualify for the South African World Cup.

  • Ghiles, Ghezzal and Meghenni will jointhem today

  • The four professionals, Kamel Ghiles, Rafik Halliche, Mourad Meghenni and Abdelakder Ghezzal will be the last to join their team mates at the center after playing with their clubs on Sunday.

  • The head coach Rabah Saadane has declared that the first training session was not crucial since the real work will start today.

  • Abdoun will supervise the match from the bleachers

  • According to Echourok sources, Rabah Saadane will most probably send out Nantes’ Djamel Abdoun to the bleachers because the player didn’t take part to the Algeria squad various friendly matches so far.

  • After discussing with medial staffs of the German clubs Bochum and Wolfsburgh as well as with the British Glasgow Rangers and Portsmouth, the national squad doctor has selected a special program for the players Ziani, Bougherra, Antar Yahia and Hassen Yebda.

  • For his part,  the  head coach Rabah Saadane hoped to see all his players especially the injured ones, fit for the crucial match versus Egypt” I’m looking forward for the recovery of the injured elements, so far , Karim Ziani, Madjid Bougherra and Hassen Yebda a ready for the match awaiting the recovery of Anrar Yahia whom I expect to see him ready next Saturday”, he said.
