The Makhzen Participated in Exterminating Palestinians With Military Formtions and White Phosphorus

The Makhzen regime continues its violations against the occupied Sahrawi people, after participating in the genocide that the Palestinian people were subjected to, especially in the Gaza Strip, by the Zionist occupation, whether through formations of the Moroccan army or by exporting “white phosphorus” to Zionist companies to manufacture weapons, the Moroccan political and human rights activist, Mohamed Kandil, said.

In a post on his official social media accounts, Mohamed Kandil explained that “Sahrawi citizens, whether civilians, human rights activists or political detainees, are subjected to serious violations by the Moroccan occupation, especially in light of the international community’s silence on these escalating crimes.”

Among the most prominent of these violations – Kandil added – are “arbitrary arrest and torture, which is confirmed by many international human rights organizations working in this field in their various reports, the suppression of freedom of expression and assembly by imposing severe restrictions”, citing in this context the arrest of peaceful protesters and the restriction of the work of human rights organizations.

The same human rights activist also stressed that “one of the most prominent violations of the Moroccan occupation against the Sahrawi people is the confiscation of their right to self-determination, choosing their future and establishing their independent state, although this right is guaranteed under international law,” highlighting in this context the policy of racial discrimination against Sahrawis in various occupied cities by depriving them of job opportunities, education and basic services.

In the same context, he highlighted that the Western Sahara issue is considered a taboo within the Kingdom that is not permitted to be discussed outside the framework set by the Makhzen, noting that there is a group of Moroccans who identify with the Makhzen’s thesis without conviction or prior knowledge of the history of the region and the origin of the conflict, due to either fear or ignorance. A broad group has come out publicly to address the issue from a purely legal perspective.

The speaker renewed his support for the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination, denouncing “the fierce attack that they and other Moroccans are being subjected to because they are demanding the implementation of international legitimacy to resolve the conflict in Western Sahara.”

“We consider what the Makhzen mouthpieces are doing to be very normal as long as the owners of these malicious campaigns have nothing to their credit but insults, slander, and defamation. These are the low morals they inherited from Moroccan security and media tools that have zero values, principles, and morals.”

Furthermore, in his talk about the Moroccan regime’s participation in the war of extermination that the Palestinian people have been subjected to since October 7, 2023, by the Moroccan occupation before the ceasefire came into effect on Sunday, Mohamed Kandil stressed that this regime has no right to talk about peace and support for the Palestinian cause after all the support it has provided to the Zionist entity.

In this regard, he reviewed the Moroccan authorities’ opening of the Tangier Mediterranean port to dock ships loaded with weapons and equipment intended to exterminate the Palestinian people, participation in the war of extermination by various formations of the Royal Army and intelligence, consisting of more than 4,000 officers, intelligence officers and soldiers, exporting “white phosphorus” to Zionist ammunition manufacturing companies, one of which is based in Morocco, and licensing 25 Moroccan companies to market 113 Moroccan products to the Zionists at the height of the Zionist war of extermination.

Kandil concluded his post by saying: “This is just the tip of the iceberg, and what is hidden is greater. How can you talk about peace, you criminal murderers, while you are partners in the war of extermination and mass killing of the Palestinians?”
