The Mininster of the National Education, Abou Baker Ben Bouzid, revealed on the introduction of 16,000 new jobs in this sector during the school year 2009/2010, through organizing exams in cooperation with the services of the public sector, during October.

• Ben Bouzid explains in a press conference held Sunday at the ministry of education, on the sidelines of a meeting with directors of education from 48 localities; “10,000 jobs out of 16,000 assessments, will be devoted in this sector for the new teachers and educational assistants. The Ministry will give priority in these competitions to the teachers contractors, in order to evaluate their efforts for the sector, but without interfering in the in the powers of the public sector, which is a key partner in the recruitment process”.
• “In order to sensitize the pupils of the danger of the virus AH1N1 or swine flu, the first class in this school year will be allocated for this disease”.
• “The coverage of textbooks reached 100% in all the classes. All the books are available in the schools. The Ministry was keen to put a rate of 10% of the books at the disposal of the services of distribution”.
