The new Evangelists in Berber regions are terrorists: minister says

Religious affairs minister Ghoulem Allah Bouabdelah has branded the new evangelists operating secretly in the berber regions of the country as terrorists, calling on the security forces and civil society to fight them.

• He added that those are not genuine Christians but mercenaries whose main objective is to tear apart the Algerian society as did the terrorists before. He announced the creation of a National Commission of the Holly Koran to curb the spread of falsified copies of the holy book.

• Talking yesterday at “Al Moudjahid Forum” the minister indicated that responsibility of protecting our siblings and brothers in the Berber regions and other parts of the country from the evangelization process lies on the community members.

• He added that he personally supervised few days ago the launch of a huge operation aiming at copying religious songs in the provinces of Tizi Ouzou and Bejaia and distribute them for free among the population.

• The minister went on saying that the case of the “mufti” (religious scholar” of the republic will be decided by the president himself who will announce the creation of this institution and anoint its head on due time.
