Over the last three years the phenomenon of illegal immigration east and west of Algeria, from Al Kala to Al Ghazaouat, made the event and undisputed the national newspapers with sad news and tragedies, just as the tragedies and pain of thousands of families and groans of mothers did.

• In contrast, the phenomenon of illegal immigration made comedy, anecdotes and maybe jokes, as some people are still telling with some kind of humour sometimes, and with some kind of sorrow other times.

• On the fifth day of last Ramadan, services of the border guards of Annaba, east of Algeria, arrested “B.Kamal” 22, “M.Youcef” 28, “A.Walid” 25, they are friends from Skikda, east of Algeria, who tried to reach Rotterdam through hiding in the chimney of the Dutch cargo ship, which was obliged to stop at Annaba port, after its engine broke down, and the crew launched a monitoring operation of the structures of the ship, and they found the illegal immigrants hiding in the chimney, that’s why they called the security services, which arrested them after a half night of joy and hopes which turned to pains after the youngsters came before the investigation judge of Annaba court, on charges of illegal immigration.

• A youngster hided in a plane’s wheels trying illegal immigration died east of Algeria

• Insisting on illegal immigration and the desire to leave the country and escape in any way, killed a 28 year youngster from Bejaia, east of Algeria, in 2007, when he tried illegal immigration by hiding in the plain’s wheels in order to reach the airport of Charles De Gaulle in France. The plane flied normally until it reached Charles De Gaulle airport, and when it managed to land the wheels down the illegal immigrant died because his body hit the cement.

• Illegal immigration made the exception several times in the coasts of Annaba, east of Algeria, in Ramadan; the border guards arrested a 69 year man on board of a rubber boat accompanied by his grandchildren to reach the Italian Sardinia, after seven decades in a poor house. The scene was funny and sad at the same time when Uncle Taher was brought to Annaba court. The innocent kid Walid 14, the youngest illegal immigrant in Algeria from Annaba, east of Algeria, accompanied by other youngsters to reach Sardinia, in an attempt to escape from poverty, as the security services arrested 3 girls including Houria 35 from Chlef single mother of three.   

• Algerian youngster bought a tourist ticket to turkey… and then fled in Rome airport

• The fever of illegal immigration prompted an Algerian student to think of a way that could be considered somewhat civilized. The student M.Hazem bought a tourist ticket to Istanbul, and because the plane passed through the Italian capital Rome he succeeded in escaping from the plane and reached Rome.
