Thousands of Algerian visitors fascinated by Algiers International Automobile Salon

The third edition of the International Automobile Salon in Algiers noticed in the second and third days a large number of visitors, thing which breaks the fears of the dealers and exhibitors, during the modest start of the salon last Wednesday.

  • The organizers from SAFEX recorded thousands of Algerian visitors during Thursday and Friday at the Palace of Exhibition at the maritime pine in Algiers, expecting the number would double during Saturday, as it is the second day of the week end and the forth day of the salon, and the organizers focused their efforts on providing the best conditions for receiving the visitors in order to achieve the number of 200.000 visitors before the tenth of October.
  •
  • The modest start of Algiers International Automobile Salon in its third edition, noticed the absence of a formal launch or presence of officials or representatives of the government, thing which raised fears of 39 dealers, who wondered about the success of the salon, particularly following the issuance of the decision to ban the consumers’ loans, which accounted for 35% of the cars loans, however, the Algerians’ love for the cars surprised everyone and defied the resolutions of the government and even the weather turbulences that marked the week end.
  •
  • Representatives of the dealers, present in the salon, adopted new marketing strategies, in order to attract the visitors, through offering reductions or compensating them if they are not possible, particularly for the new car models through offering gifts such as accessories or free after-sale services for a certain period or extending the term of the warranty and focus on the aesthetic side and décor, as well as hostesses who came specifically from Eastern Europe in order to give a touch of beauty on the salon.
  •
  • People who visit the salon were satisfied and fascinated with the prices of the cars, as their dreams of owning a beautiful car evaporated following the government’s resolution which bans the consumers’ loans.
