Three Algerians killed in London during one week

Algerian community in Britain is living a state of grief after the loss of three young people in various events in London during the last eight days; most recently was the youngster Fathi Bouchareb 27, who entered London only two years ago, he received fatal stab wounds on the chest in the famous neighbourhood Covent Garden, as investigations by the British security services didn’t show so far the identity of the killer.  

  • Echorouk contacted on Thursday some Algerians living in Britain and they said they are facing difficulties to transfer the body of the victim Fathi to his homeland in Taref, east of Algeria, as another youngster was also stabbed to death by Africans, however; thing which increased fear is the murder of a Moroccan boy called Sofiane Belmoudane 15, in the metro station in Victoria London, an incident which heightened fears, although the British authorities asserted that the events were separate and have nothing to do with any possible racism.
  • Algerian community also lived a state of terror last year after the youngster Boudiaf 19 from Algiers was shot dead in Tottenham, north of London. All these events have been associated to fighting with British or African youngsters, thing which led to solidarity of all Arabs, as Algerians from London that Egyptians and Syrians were the first to solace and aid in order to accelerate the transfer of the Algerians’ bodies to their homeland.
