Travel Agencies To Extend Deadlines Of Selling Pilgrimage Tickets To Monday

Air Algérie company decided to grant a new opportunity for pilgrims who are late for the acquisition of flight tickets, through the extension of deadlines to Monday, August,22, while it confirmed that the sale procedures will officially stop at the level of agencies that are affiliated to it, and will not be extended again.

Commercial Director of Air Algérie, Zohir Houaoui, told Echorouk, that the selling of the Hajj tickets and paying the costs is extended until next Monday.

“Approximately 27.500 Algerian pilgrims paid the costs until Friday, while 28,550 pilgrims were able to buy the tickets. Decision to extend the deadlines came to enable the pilgrims who were unable to reach out to Air Algérie agencies on the specified date, to perform the Hajj. Algerian pilgrims should not expect another extension of the deadlines for the third time, and they should rushed to the acquisition of tickets before midday. “

“Air Algérie services are working in coordination with the Office of Hajj and Umrah and the Saudi Embassy and Consulates, even on the weekend, and procedures are applied. Delivery of the pilgrims’ tickets and visas noticed is done quickly, and it is free of any problems or bureaucratic obstacles. However, the pilgrims are asked to show commitment to the organisation, and not to postpone today’s work to tomorrow.”

Religious Affairs Minister, Mohamed Issa, revealed, on Thursday, on the development of a follow up cell, for the first time, by order of the Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, in coordination between the Religious and Foreign Affairs services, to prepare a detailed report on the current season, and the problems that might hinder the visitors of the holy sites, based on the complaints that will be received in this regard, and during his visit to Houari Boumediene airport to accompany the first group of Algerian pilgrims, whose number is 260 pilgrims, he talked to them, saying: “We have provided everything to you all, and we worked hard to be at your disposal, so you should preserve your religion and show good behaviour, and be the best ambassadors of Algeria.”
