Tunisian ambassador to Algeria:Security cooperation tightened on Algerian Borders
Security cooperation between Algeria and Tunisia to protect the common Borders is launched at high levels, especially with the new developments that are related to Mali war,Tunisian ambassador to Algeria,Hachana Mohamed Nadjib, said in press conference in Oran, on the sidelines of the international salon of tourism in its fourth edition.
Tunisia ambassador to Algeria added that entering the Tunisian soil without a passport for Algerians is a question of co-ordination between the two countries, and is an ambition called by the president of the republic, calling for a common promotion for tourism in the two countries.
“Relationships between the two countries knew an unprecedented harmony and consensus, especially when it comes to security cooperation and economic partnership. Over 900.000 Algerian tourists visited Tunisia last year, and 70 Tunisian companies are operating in Algeria in various sectors like services, hydrocarbons and construction, with a volume of 50 million euros”.
“Tunisian companies will participate in the project of Renault car factory in Oran, through contributing in manufacturing some cars’ components. Investment projects declined in Tunisia during the revolution, but they are returning back gradually, especially in tourism which represent about 8% of the GNP. Tunisia shows a large importance for the basic structures and services that are provided for tourists especially Algerians, with providing significant facilities and linking the Algerian highway with another Tunisian along 80 km to facilitate the movement across the Borders”.
