Tunisian women smuggle goods, Malians counterfeit currency eastern Algeria

Security department of Tebessa, eastern Algeria, arrested a cell specialized in fraud and counterfeiting banknotes and seized their money.

Details are dating back to last week, as information which reached the police said that Malians aged between 32 and 22 moved from Tebessa to Marsat to create a cell of fraud and promoting counterfaitef national currency, and after an ambush security services identified the residence of the accused in one of the abandoned houses, then they took legal action before raiding the place, and arrested two suspects with possession of Algerian banknotes of 1000 AD, which are ‭forged and white papers and equipment for fraud.

After finishing the procedures, the accused were brought before the prosecutor at the Court of Lawinat, then they were referred to investigation on Tuesday, as the accused was detained on charges of organizing a group og gangsters, and proceeding in counterfaiting banknotes in Algeria.

In a related context, five Tunisians were arrested by policemen, including three women on board of a car type Suzuki at the road which linked between Marsat and Maskiana in Oum Bouaki, in possession of foreign goods and clothing worth a value which exceeds 10.000.00 AD.

Security services seized the goods and the vehicle, then prepare lawsuits against the arrested, whose ages range between 22 and 65 to refer them to the judicial bodies on charges of smuggling. ‭
