Vague resolution deducts 18.000 dinars from the former Algerian veterans’ grants

A large number of the former Algerian veterans who were recruited in the ranks of the French army during the colonial period said they were not granted their first four months’ grant this year, estimated to 80% of the monthly grant which is posted in their accounts every 6 months as a compensation for their period of recruitment into the French army’s ranks in mandatory.

  • The Algerian veterans who were obliged to join the French army during the colonial era were granted more than 25.000 dinars through the French consulates in Algeria, however they were surprised when they found over 18350 dinars deduction from their grants without being provided with any explanation, that’s why the majority were in a dilemma and didn’t find where to go for complaint, particularly since the transfer of their financial grants happened outside the public treasury’s accounts.
  • Now they are waiting for a significant explanation by the friench government.
