Administration of the international « Dubai Ports » decided to delay the creation of a committee and preferred to start with the establishment of a branch trade union, following the negotiations which brought together the officials of the WDP with the General Coordinator of the National Committee of the ten ports, Idris Ben Brik, who intervened Saturday, during his visit to Algiers, in order to solve the problem following the pressures the administration has tried to exercise over the Dockers, who in their turn threatened to organize a protest movement.

• A representative of the Dockers said 74 accidents caused injuries to many workers, as the local association of Algiers has sent a formal request to the administration, in order to engage in the process of establishing a branch trade union and enable the workers to get their rights which the WDP tried to breach.
