Workers’ Party leader sues National Assembly
Leader of Workers’s Party said the latest attack on gendarmes eastern Algiers showed that there is a foreign economic mafia as the attackers did not target the Chinese workers who were with the victims.
-
“The mafia of multinational companies which have interests in Algeria are attempting to target the country,” she told a news conference in Algiers on Saturday.
-
“I did not like the latest decisions of the industry minister Abdelhamid Temmar. They impose on foreign companies operating in Algeria to open 51 percent of their capital to the Algerian operators and to open importing companies’ capital by 30 percent,” she added.
-
Hanoune said she will sue the People’s National Assembly for violating the internal regulation of the Assembly.
-
“The Assembly took an unconstitutional decision when it decided to not pay our deputies’ compensations in the party’s banking account.”
-
“I convey a letter to the head of the Constitutional Council to ask for a consultation in this case. I asked him to give me an administrative decision to make an appeal to the State Council against the Assembly.”
-
“Even if I do not get the decision, the State Council will accept the appeal within two months,” she added.
