Zidane to play for Algeria and France in friendly match

Football legend Zinedine Zidane will play a half-time with Algeria football shirt while he will play for France in the other half-time in a friendly match due to be held on March 1st in Algeria, Echorouk has learnt.

• The Marseille-born son of Algerian parents has made a number of initiatives in favour of the Algerian people. He contributed in the construction of a medical centre in the province of Boumerdes (50 east of Algiers) following 2003 earthquake.

• Zidane also accepted to bring technical staff to offer training for national young squads in order to improve football in Algeria.

• Earlier, he paid a short visit to Algeria’s players as they were in training in France.

• The match will be organised by the Nedjma Telecom group. It will be played between Algerian players and France’s 1998 World Cup Winners.
