Zionist Liaison Office Infiltrates the Moroccan Media

The “Moroccan Media Professionals for Palestine and Against Normalization” coalition denounced the attempts of the so-called Zionist Liaison Office in the Kingdom to infiltrate the Moroccan journalistic body to polish the image of the occupation at a time when the latter continues to commit horrific massacres against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The media coalition called for a national protest in the capital, Rabat, to denounce media normalization with the Zionist occupation and to protest the assassinations targeting journalists in the Gaza Strip and all of occupied Palestine.

The coalition, which includes Moroccan journalists and media professionals, said in a statement reported by local media that it is following “with great concern the movements of the deputy official of the occupation’s liaison office, which was recently dissolved in Rabat, as it is trying to attract journalists to serve the Zionist agenda in the region and whiten the image of the entity, the extent of which has become clear to the world how dark it is amid the heinous massacres and crimes it has committed since October 2023,” he warned Moroccan media professionals against “the mistake of falling into the trap of the occupation’s liaison office in Rabat.”

He also stressed that “any cooperation with the Zionist occupation, which has long proven its hostility to freedom of expression and the press, and any marketing of its narrative is biased towards war criminals and places those involved in the same category as the occupation,” reiterating that “the Moroccan media is innocent of normalization, which it considers “clear involvement” in the cover-up of the truth and encouragement to commit more massacres and kill innocent people.

The coalition added that while “the occupation is striving to market a false image of itself within Moroccan society, it continues to execute the voices of truth that expose its crimes,” calling on the Journalists Syndicate in Morocco to withdraw the membership of anyone who practices in the political propaganda for the occupation and praises its crimes, in line with its positions rejecting any communication of media professional with the Zionist entity.

“Moroccan media professionals for Palestine and against normalization” renewed their demand for the Makhzen state to close the Zionist liaison office and their television offices in Rabat and Marrakesh and to listen to the pulse of the Moroccan street “to stop the process of normalization and continue to support the Palestinian right until the liberation of all of Palestine from the river to the sea with Jerusalem as its capital,” denouncing in the context “ Zionist violations against journalists in Gaza (..).”

After the statement, the coalition called on media institutions and journalists to shed light on the Palestinian issue, expose the violations of the occupation, and firmly confront all attempts by Zionism to penetrate the Moroccan media and digital space.

Since last October 7, the uprising of the Moroccan street continued against normalization with the occupying Zionist entity demanding the abolition of all shameful agreements signed at the end of 2020, as Moroccans went out, on Friday, in 102 protests in 44 Moroccan cities to denounce the Moroccan regime’s continued normalization with the criminal entity whose hands are stained with the blood of innocent civilians, kids and women.

The protesters also denounced the incursions into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by flocks of settlers and the ongoing Zionist massacres in occupied Palestine, especially in the Gaza Strip, since October 7.
