1000 Gendarmes to Secure Southern cities during "Aid Al Fitr"

Regional leadership of the National Gendarmerie at the 4th military region, deployed in the last week of Ramadan, over 1000 gendarmes in the markets of five southern states, which are "Tamanrasset, Adrar, Ouargla and Ghardaia (southern Algeria), as a new security plan was prepared in these areas to secure the commercial movement. ‬

The new security plan in these areas aims to face the spread of counterfeit money in the popular markets and to reduce the phenomenon of marketing smuggled goods that are not subject to customs' measures, and to monitore the illegal transactions. According to the latest statistics of the national gendarmerie, these cities noticed a significant increase in the pace of the criminal activity's calls, which are specialized in smuggling goods and marketing counterfeit currency in the Southern regions, which are exposed since years ago to fraud.‬
