10 terrorists ready to surrender to security forces in Algeria

Ten terrorists expressed their desire to stop their acts and surrender to benefit from the provisions of the Charter for Peace and National Reconciliation, Echorouk has learnt.

• This came directly after a strong blow against the so-called the Salafist Group as senior leader Kamel Bourihane alias Abu Hafs had been killed on Friday, security sources said.

• Earlier on Wednesday, three terrorists were killed in the province of Bouira (125 km east of Algiers) as they were besieged by security forces.

• According to the same sources, security forces found tens of Echorouk newspaper copies in tens of hideouts. They contained letters of terrorist senior members who surrendered in April and Mai. They called on armed elements to stop their acts and benefit from the National Reconciliation provisions. They said what terrorists do has nothing to do with jihad and harms Islam. They asked their former mates to check fatwas which say murders perpetrated by Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb are illegitimate.

• Security forces destroyed tens of hideouts in Bouira while army forces reinforced by counter-terrorism troops are still besieging the area.
