2nd international festival of Ahaggar arts opens
TAMANRASSET (Algeria)- The second edition of the International Festival of Ahaggar Arts opened Tuesday in Tamanrasset, in the extreme south of Algeria, in an atmosphere rich of colors and tones.
This cultural event dedicated to tangible and intangible heritage of the ancestral area and its relationship with its natural environment has been inaugurated in the presence of the representative of the Ministry of Culture, Betrouni Murad, who stressed the importance of these encounters for the preservation of heritage and memory.
“The Ministry of Culture is working to make this festival a major cultural event like the festival of Sebeiba in Djanet and festival of Ahellil song in Timimoun, ” he said.
A photo exhibition on ancient and modern architectural art and harmony which can spring from their association, was mounted at the gallery of the House of Culture of Tamanrasset.
