3G Internet to Reach All Provinces by December 2016

Government prepared a plan to accelerate the spread of third-generation internet in the provinces, as an amended Decree on the operation was published in the Official Gazette, to complete the coverage by Djezzy and Ooredoo in all provinces of the country by 2016, which confirms what was published by Echorouk in the number of December 31, 2015, about the accelerating procedures for the third-generation internet cross the country.
Decree on speeding up the pace of the third-generation spread by Ooredoo that was issued in the Official Gazette and was published in the the official website of the authority of setting post and transport “RPT”, shows that the operators are allowed to proceed with additional coverage for provinces as of July 2016, in Tindouf classified as C3b, then Tissemsilt and Khenchela C4.
New decree pointed that Ooredoo has to inform the control authority about the expectations on the minimum coverage ratios in these provinces, indicating that the owner of the license of any operator should continue the internet coverage in provinces that must be covered, during the first three years, and continue to cover the provinces in accordance with the minimum percentages of coverage that are described in the special table.
