3rd International Comics Festival of Algiers (13-17 October)

ALGIERS- The third International Comics Festival of Algiers (FIBDA) will be held from 13 to 17 October at the Esplanade of Ryad El Feth with the participation of a hundred of cartoonists from about forty countries.

“This 3rd edition looks promising considering the number of national and foreign talented cartoonists participating in it,” FIDBA Commissioner Dalila Nadjem told a press briefing Thursday.

Nadjem pointed out that “its will reveal new generation of creators, who were present at the first editions as young talents and who are today partaking along with international professional cartoonists.”

This edition will comprise about 15 exhibitions, including “Tahya El Djazair” (Long live Algeria), “Palestine: Les auteurs de BD témoignent” (Palestine: Cartoonists recount), “Haroun: Grands desseins dans des petits dessins” (Haroun: Greats projects in small drawings) and “USA: Expressions diverses” (USA: Various expressions).
