Lawyer of Algeria’s Treasury said Sonatrach is owned by the State which has 245,000 shares in it. “Accused people are hydrocarbons elite. Their positions do not allow them to make a mistake,” he told the judge.
Speaking about the Sonatrach 1 case, the lawyer Zako said prices raise in deals caused a loss to the State. “This raise is booty shared by companies owners. It was used to buy real-estates abroad and have accounts in euro. All what happened was planned by the suspects to get deals at Sonatrach.”
