750 African businessmen to invade Algeria’s market
The African Investment and Business Forum is expected to be held on Saturday in Algiers. This comes as a similar event had been organized in Tunis. Both of them shared the same axes related to investment.
Recent figures show that Saturday’s meeting will be attended by 750 African businessmen and more than 1,500 Algerian economic operators. It will deal with cooperation perspectives in Africa in terms of infrastructures, energy, renewable energies, agriculture, ICT, finance and insurances. It is an attempt to boost commerce and partnerships between African countries.
Algeria’s Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal made an announcement about the event, three months ago. Foreign ministry, industry ministry representatives and employers’ organizations will be present.
The Tunisia meeting came up with commitment to offer billions of dollars to support Tunis’ economic construction process. Qatar announced it will grant $1,250. Saudi Arabia pledged to offer $800 million. France committed to inject ¼ billion euros annually to support investment in Tunisia.
