800 thousand Algerians benefited from real estates’ credits

The real estates’ credits have increased by 20% since the beginning of the year in comparison with the last year’s same period owing to the measures decided by the government 10 months ago to facilitate access for citizens.

• The banks and financial institutions spokesman , Abderrehmane Ben Khalfa has indicated that the bulk of the real estates’ loans allocated by the private and public banks to 800 thousand beneficiaries has reached $ 2.56 billion.

• The number of beneficiaries that benefited from low- rate interests ( 1 and 3 % )  over the last 10 months has reached nearly 18 thousand with a gross total of $ 216 million, M Ben Khalfa has revealed.

• The commitment of private banks besides the public ones has given a fresh momentum to this operation and contributed to the stability of the prices, he added.

• M Ben Khalfa has indicated that the middle- class category is the most inclined to ask for the real estates credits especially after the increase of the net income per habitat and the shift of the consumers’ interests who tend to invest in real estates rather other commodities like cars.
