85th session of OAPEC opens Saturday in Cairo

CAIRO- The Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) holds Saturday in Cairo its 85th session with the participation of Energy and Mines Minister Youcef Yousfi, headed Friday to the Egyptian capital.

During this meeting, several issues will be considered like the activities of the organization for the current year and the secretariat General during the same period, technical and economic studies, climate change and its impact on the oil industry and the global financial crisis and its impact on the hydrocarbon sector.

Participants will also evaluate the results of the 9th Arab Energy Summit held in Qatar.

This session chaired by the UAE will also review the organization’s budget, organic and organizational issues and evaluate the activities of companies within OAPEC, the Arab Company for oil investments (APICORP).
