9th best poetic work contest until March 20

ALGIERS- The ninth contest of the best poetic work, launched January 20, is to run until march 20, announced Monday the Arts and Culture Establishment of Algiers in a statement.

The cultural event has become a tradition, as it is held every year to greet and award “lovers of poetry.”

The contest is open to all segments of society and the users of all of the languages spoken in Algeria (classical and dialectical forms of Arabic, Amazigh and French languages).

The participants have to send five copies of three unpublished works and a personal data sheet to the Arts and Culture Establishment of Algiers. F

ormer winners cannot take part in the contest.

The contestants’ works will be considered by a panel of judges made up of writers and poets who will award three major prizes for the best works in each language.
