FLN Party got the Majority with 6.11% of the Registered Voters

Constitutional Council announced on the number of votes collected by each party in the last legislative elections, after the Ministry of Interior had turned a blind eye on this issue, as for the first time in the world the canceled votes occupied the first rank against the advanced electoral lists.

The Constitutional Council counted 1.704.047 canceled votes in 10 May elections, or 18.24% of the vessel which took part in the elections representing 9.339.026 voters, and then a difference close to 400.000 votes, the National Liberation Front won 1.324.363 votes, out of 21.645.841 recorded votes, which constitutes 14.18% of ‭Algerian voices, ‭who ‭participated ‭in ‭elections, ‭or 6.11% of the‭ total ‬registered voters, ‭in ‭the official lists, and won 221 seats.

The party of the majority noticed a big drop in the number of votes obtained in 10 May elections, and the decline reached the half, compared to the elections of 2002, when FLN won the majority for the first time since the beginning of pluralism, according to figures provided by the Constitutional Council, reaching ‭2.618.003 ‭voters out of 17.‬ 951.127 people registered and then ‭got ‭199 ‭seats at that time . ‬

National ‭Democratic Rally (RND) won‭ 5.61‬ ‭% ‬of voices, as 524 057 preferred to vote in favor of the party’s lists, ‬which enabled it to get 70 ‭seats in the coming parliament. ‬

The Islamists, who received a shock in the elections, got together 881.706 voices, which is a rate of 9.44% of the votes, compared to the number of votes they won in 2007, which was 896,837 Algerian voters.However; their participation in the elections dispersed was behind getting only 58 seats,as the lists of Algeria Green Bloc won 47 seats, having won 475,049 votes, ie 5.08% of the votes, and has achieved this surprising result despite it was expecting to play a more advanced role by saying that it will win the majority of seats.

While the party of Abdallah Jaballah, the Front for Justice and Development won 232.676 votes, which enabled him to win 7 seats, and was therefor the most shocked party, after he had achieved in the last legislative elections under the banner of the National Reform Movement in 2002 up to 705.319 votes, and won 43 seats in the Palace of Zighoud Youcef.

The party of Abdelmadjid Menasra, a pro-dissident from HAMS, received the most painful blow, as the Party for Change won only173,981 voters, which is 1.86% of the total voters ‭. ‬
