Services of the National Gendarmerie tightened their presence on the border with Morocco and exactly in the interval with Saidia, Morocco, through the deployment of border guard units per square meter, in response to the abuses that were carried out by the Moroccan regime, who is kidnapping Algerian tourists upon their arrival in the border line without warnings.

National Gendarmerie gave strict instructions to its services that are operating on the border, for the need to tighten controls on the border with Morocco, especially in this period, which noticed a dense movement of tourists who are heading to the beach of Marsa Benmehidi, which is a few meters away from the Beach of Saidia in Morocco.
Orders of the High Command of Gendarmerie came after reports that were recorded about the kidnapping of Algerian tourists by the Moroccan regime, at the area between Benmhidi beach in Tlemcen and the Moroccan Saidia beach, and this to pressurize and provoke Algeria before they will be released.
On this basis, it was decided to publish the largest possible number of border guards along the border between Algeria and Morocco, through deploying a gendarme in every meter, with the mission to protect and guide the tourists who do not know the area and warn them not to skip the border.
