Abdelkader Ghezzal to Echourok: I will strike back in South Africa

The Algerian striker Abdlkader Ghezzal has indicated that he will double efforts to score as many goals as possible during the upcoming South African World cup tournament, adding that the Algerian players can make a good showing on account of their great potentialities citing the name of Mesbah whom, he said, will give a plus to “Greens”.

• Echourok: How did you feel when you arrived at the Greens’ training camp in Switzerland?
• Ghezzal: I was overwhelmed by joy upon my arrival because I missed a lot the friendly atmosphere within the group; I was heartily welcomed by my teammates especially Ziani and Abdoun who proved once again that existence of this communion between the players.
• Echourok: But you have arrived later than your comrades?
• Ghezzal: Indeed, but it was out of my will because the club’s managers insisted to keep me until the last match against Inter Milan, knowing that I have decided to change my destination right after the world cup.
• Echourok: Can we have a hint about it?
• Ghezzal: Despite the rumors that were reported here and there, I can confirm that I didn’t make my mind yet, I will do it after the world cup tournament.
• Echourok: Do you know the new players that joined the Algerian national squad ?
• Ghezzal: I know Mesbah since he plays in Italy and I can tell you that he will give a plus to the group because he has great potentialities.
• Echourok: The Algerian fans reproach you the fact that you didn’t score a single goal in the last African cup tournament, any comment?
• Ghezzal: It’s true that I didn’t score during the Angolan tournament, but the World cup is different from the African competition, I promise to catch up and score as many as possible in South Africa.
• Echourok:  How do you see the chances of the “Greens” during this tournament?
• Ghezzal: Our chances are intact but a win over Slovenia is the key of the qualification to the second round.
• Echourok: What can you say about the Fifa’s sanctions against Egypt?
• Ghezzal: Though I don’t care about the issue, but I consider that the Fifa has offered a present to the Egyptians whom I recall once again that we are qualified to the World cup.
• Echourok: The French team coach Raymond Domenech has denied the world cup for Benzemma, Ben Arfa and Naceri, what do you think?
• Ghezzal: I didn’t understand how he did to exclude the French league champion, a key player at Real Madrid and another one at Arsenal. These are unfair decisions and he has to face his responsibilities.
