Additional Security Enhancements At Ain Saleh Gas Company

Security team that is specialized in the science of explosives launches analyses on the conventional missiles fragments that targeted the gas company by a terrorist group in Khechiba (southern Algeria), on last Friday.

It is working on searching the source of the shells, the distance of throwing them away and materials which they were used in manufacturing them, in order to take preventive measures in the future. 

Some workers of the gas company, which is supervised by Sonatrach, in partnership with the Norwegian “Statoil”, UK “BP” and the French “Shale” in the area of Khechiba, that lies between Ain Saleh and Tamanrasset, and Menia which belongs Ghardaia (southern Algeria), said the production and work continued normally, and the workers are fine, as the Energy Ministry provides all the technical and security guarantees to the path of production, after a break of five minutes only, and after the failed terrorist attempt, which was adopted by the so-called “Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb.

Department of Energy started on enhancing safety and security measures for foreign workers to protect them from various attacks, at a time when workers confirmed that the gas project circumference is enhanced with security during the past few hours, through additional troops from the fourth military region, as armed troops continued the combing of El Mania and In Salah desert, deploying more security teams to track terrorist groups, which fled in the desert.
