“I feel good”, says Algeria ace Guedioura

Algerian international Adlene Guedioura declared himself ready for the Premier League after a goal scoring comeback with Wolverhampton’s reserves. The Algeria World Cup star scored a 25-yard thunderbolt in the 2-1 win at Blackpool, on Wednesday night. The 25-year-old also managed the full 90 minutes in his first outing of any sort since breaking his leg in the 2-1 defeat to Villa on September 26.Guedioura, who has been in full training for almost three weeks, believes he is ready to challenge for a Premier League place again. “I think I’m fit enough and ready to play now for the first-team, but you never know until you play in the Premier League how ready you are because it’s different from the reserves,” said Guedioura. “I feel good — I surprised myself because I didn’t feel tired after the game and that’s a good thing. Now I can’t wait to come back for the first team. I just needed match practice.”Guedioura was especially delighted to score on his comeback and believes it will help with his confidence when he returns to senior action. “I was delighted with the goal and it gave us a deserved win as well because the lads worked hard and pressed well,” he said. “I think the goal will give me confidence for the rest of the season. Hopefully it’s the first of many and I’ll get back step-by-step to how I can play.”Algeria’s coach, Abdelhak Benchikha, must be delighted with the news of Guedioura comeback. Benchikha is likely to call up Wolves ace as by next crucial game away against Morocco, next June, for the Day IV of qualifiers to THE African Cup of Nations 2012.
