“What you are doing has no relation with jihad,” says Samir Sayoud alias Musab

Communication attaché at the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC) Samir Sayoud alias Musab called on armed people working for the so-called ‘terrorist organisation’ to stop their armed acts and join the National Reconciliation. “What you are doing has nothing to do with jihad. It harms Islam causes discord in the Islamic nation,” he said.

  •
  • “You should join your society and your family. Society is ready to host you.”
  •
  • He invited his companions in mountains to benefit from the measures of the National Reconciliation. “My brothers, I call upon you to be afraid of Allah. You have to know that Muslims’ blood is not cheap and killing Muslims is a great danger.”
  •
  • He asked terrorists to unify the Algerian people and listen to preachers and repentant terrorists.
  •
  • He also advised them to check fatwas which said killings are forbidden in Islam. He called on them to avoid fatwas which threat Islam and Algeria’s unity and stop doing acts forbidden in religion. “Is that jihad satisfying our God?”
  •
  • He encouraged his former companions in mountains to come back to people, saying “if I knew that I would be treated well by security forces, I would not have stayed as much in mountains.”
  •
  • “You should take the right way. We were in the wrong one. My brothers, you should revise your acts before everything. The way is paved to you and the list of benefiting from the National Reconciliation is still open.”
