“Ziani did not take x-rays,” says Algeria coach

Algeria’s midfielder Karim Ziani may play in Thursday’s semi-final match against Egypt as his health conditions are getting better, said coach Rabeh Saadane.

• “We could not know more details about Ziani’s injury because we did not find any x-ray machine in Angola. Yet, I almost sure that he will play Thursday’s match as he has a strong will power,” Saadane told Echorouk.

• “At present, I can not make any statement. I have to wait for the training session on Thursday to know how our injured players will become,” he added.

• “I have already said I do not care about who we will face either Cameroun or Egypt. Welcome to our opponent who we know well as we had played against him for six months.”

• Saadane said residence conditions in Banguela are difficult. “Our hotel does not fit us but we will stay in it for 48 hours only and we are ready to adapt to it.”
