Agriculture Minister Abdelwahab Nouri to Echorouk: ” Three regional companies to provide meat and fight speculators”

“Djelfa company will enter into force ahead of Ramadan in order to adjust the red meat market, and organize and frame meat in Algeria”. 

“Each company will cover certain cities, as these companies will be created in Ain M’lila and Oum Boaki, Baiadh, and Djelfa which will cover the central cities. The latter sits on a total area of 15 hectares in Djelfa, which is an area with an agricultural nature and well-known with breeding sheep that will produce, starting from next year, over 16,800 tons of red meat annually.” 

“Most of the projects will be subject to the experiences of technology for more than 45 days. The three units will be equipped in 2016 with a total production of 40,900 tonnes, or 1.6 million heads of sheep and 60,000 head of cattle. Hassi Bahbah compound will treat 600,000 sheep and 24,000 heads of cattle, that will evaluate the compounds’ energy by 12,000 tons.” 

“Companies will be organized the red meat markets with framing activity of meat in slaughter places, in addition to the control and treatment of red meat, not to mention the effect on prices by reducing the speculators, as they fall within the investment program of more than 62 billion DA.
