Aigle Azur reduces tickets price for Paris-Algiers flights
French airline Aigle Azur reduced tickets price for flights from Paris to Algiers to 169 euros and 149 euros for flights from Lyon to Algiers, Algeria news agency reported on Wednesday citing managing director Meziane Idjerouidene.
- “This initiative aims at democratising destination to Algeria and ease pressure in summer and on religious days. It is difficult to manage this phenomenon because of the large mobilisation of resources, airplanes and employees,” said Meziane Idjerouidene.
- The prices will be reduced until June 30th. Passengers will have to pay in dinars for flights from Algiers or other cities. “This is meant to avoid discrimination.”
- “The price reduction is also meant to expand the airline’s activity to include other periods than summer and religious days,” said Aigle Azur’s managing director.
- He added that a new line was opened between Mulhouse and Bejaia (east of Algiers). Algeria will benefit from an exceptional coverage in 13 cities starting from Paris, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Mulhouse and Toulouse.
- “A total of 15 percent of additional seats will be added to all the lines in flights to Algerié,” he said.

Aigle Azur is France’s oldest airline. It opened lines to Burkina-Faso, Portugal, Mali, Morocco and Tunisia with 300 flights per week and 1.7 million passengers per year.
