Al-Badr- Harrache neighborhoods metro line to start in the first six months of 2015

Real start of the Algiers metro line which links Al Badr and Harrache neighborhoods will be during the first six months of 2015, Transport Minister, Amar Ghoul, said on the sidelines of an inspection visit that led him to Algiers metro workshops, to stand on the extent of the works developments.

Transport Minister announced on launching the works to cover expenses of the metro tunnels with cellphone networks next week.
“Achievement pace is noticing a remarkable progress because the majority of workshops have respected the deadlines for realization. Lines of electric railroad have been prepared in the next weeks and will be ready before the end of September, according to the minister, then the experimental stage was launched before the real start of the second part,  then the metro extends from the central post until reaching Harrache station before the end of the first six months of 2015.”
“Various works about civil architecture have finished, extending Al Badr-Harrache line, and the central post-Martyrs Square as well, and only some works like installing the railway and configuration”.
“Works started next week to provide the metro tunnels with cellphone networks, to ensure necessary coverage by all mobile operators in Algeria.”
“Works of extending the line that links Martyr Square with Taleb Abderrahmane in Bab el Oued started, on a 150 meters line, parallel with the continuing studies that are related to extending it to municipalities like Achour, Rechka, Ain Naadja and Berraki.”
