Algeria: 14 Terrorists Killed And 31 Elements Supporting Terrorist Groups Arrested In October

The National People’s Army (ANP) forces killed 14 terrorists and arrested 31 elements of support for terrorist groups, while 3 other terrorists surrendered to the military authorities during the month of October.

As part of the relentless fight against the terrorism scourge, 14 terrorists were shot dead including 5 women as well as a criminal arms trafficker, indicated the operational assessment record of the ANP for the month of October, stating that three terrorists had given themselves up to authorities.

During the same period, two children taken hostage by a terrorist who was shot dead, by ANP forces were released and 31 elements of support for terrorist groups were rounded up. 

In addition, 30 caches of terrorists and various arms were detected and destroyed.

During operations in October, ANP detachments retrieved 13 Kalashnikov machine guns; rocket launches (RPG7), 4 rockets, a 14.5 mm heavy machine gun, a PKT-type machine gun, as well as nine home-made weapons, a semi-automatic Seminov rifle and two automatic guns.

The Army elements also retrieved two hunting rifles, 13 shotguns, 10 ammunition magazines and 7,250 bullets of different calibers.

The same units also uncovered and destroyed an explosive manufacturing workshop and two explosive belts. 

They also discovered and destroyed two quintals of chemicals used to make explosives and 21 homemade bombs.
